The World Economic Forum welcomed the latest members of the Global Lighthouse Network (GLN) on Jan 16, including two from SIP.

The GLN recognizes companies that deliver exceptional impact across productivity, resilience, sustainability, talent and customer centricity through digital transformation. It awards and showcases the leaders in the field of technology-driven industrial transformation and provides a neutral platform for these leaders to share their insights and learnings to help the whole ecosystem reach the next level of transformation.

AUO Suzhou Fab, founded by Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer AU Optronics (AUO) in 2001, is recognized in the Talent category, becoming the first in the global display industry to receive this honor.

Suzhou Kunlene Film Industries Co Ltd specializes in R&D and production of high-end functional film materials, with an annual comprehensive production capacity of approximately 100,000 tons. It is recognized in the Production Efficiency category.

So far, there have been five “lighthouse factories” in SIP, more than half of those (9) in Suzhou.
