On Oct 28, at approximately 8:00am, concrete slurry was steadily poured into the formwork, marking the commencement of the first cast-in-place box girder for the overpass of the Dushuhu Avenue that is under renovation for higher-speed traffic.

The Dushuhu Avenue renovation project, funded by local finance, is being progressed by Suzhou Industrial Park Urban Renovation & Development Co Ltd under the authorization of SIP Municipal Construction Management Center.

The first phase of the project stretches from west of Jinyan Road in the west to Changyang South Street in the east, connecting SIP’s existing fast road network with the Suzhou East Railway Station. It is of great significance for urban renewal in the surrounding areas and coordinated development of Suzhou as a whole.

The project was launched on Dec 24, 2024 and is set to complete in October 2027.
