The Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year, brought a warm and festive atmosphere to SIP, where a series of celebrations allowed people from different countries and regions to immerse themselves in the charm of traditional Chinese culture.

At the Suzhou Industrial Park One-stop Service Centre for Expats, 20 international students experienced sugar painting, a craft recognized as an intangible cultural heritage element. Guided by Li Yao, an expert in this craft, they created auspicious motifs like horses and lanterns using hot sugar.

Suzhou Singapore International School (SSIS) hosted a Chinese New Year concert, and a series of celebrations where young children at the kindergarten tried their hand at paper-cutting and middle school students participated in lion dances and calligraphy.

At Dulwich College Suzhou (DCSZ), the teachers and students celebrated the Spring Festival with diverse performances and DIY activities.

In SKEMA Business School (Suzhou), the international students tried traditional Chinese handwriting, learned to make dumplings and played traditional games.
